ANYbotics Opens New Office in Barcelona

Zurich, Switzerland, June 16, 2026 ANYbotics announces the opening of its new Barcelona office, expanding its engineering presence in Europe to support customers and accelerate development in autonomous inspection.

ANYbotics is opening a new office in Barcelona, strengthening the company’s presence in Europe and supporting continued global growth. Teams already operate from Zurich and San Francisco, and Barcelona now becomes ANYbotics’ third hub. The city was selected for its strong robotics and AI ecosystem, deep engineering talent pool, and the right conditions to build a world-class product and software organization.

Robotics and physical AI are entering a new phase of adoption. Across the process industries, industrial companies are moving from pilot projects to full-scale deployments of autonomous inspection. This shift is driven by the need for safer operations, more resilient asset performance, and better use of limited expert resources. As a pioneer in deploying autonomous inspection robots in the process industry at scale, ANYbotics is at the center of this shift.

“We’re building a global company to match a global opportunity. Barcelona gives us access to exceptional engineering talent in a city that developed into a hub for robotics and industrial technology.”

Why ANYbotics is expanding: a market reaching scale

The market for autonomous inspection is maturing rapidly, with adoption accelerating across utilities, oil & gas, and materials. Customers are increasingly scaling deployments across multiple sites, which raises expectations for reliability, autonomy, data quality, and integration into industrial workflows.

To meet this demand, ANYbotics is expanding its global footprint and engineering capacity. The Barcelona office will build the next generation of capabilities in autonomy, perception, and software systems, helping customers as they scale autonomous inspection across their operations.

Why Barcelona: talent and an ecosystem built for Industry 4.0

Barcelona has become an attractive destination for software, AI/ML, and robotics specialists from across Europe. A strong base of universities and research programs spans mechatronics, computer vision, and machine learning. This supports a steady pipeline of expertise, while the city’s quality of life helps attract and retain experienced senior engineers. Andrea Corda, CTO at ANYbotics, explained:

“The Barcelona team will work on computer vision, machine learning, and core software systems that directly shape what our robots can do. These are hard problems, and Barcelona gives us access to the kind of people who solve them. The expertise we build there will strengthen our ability to turn robotic data into valuable insights, helping our customers make better decisions and achieve better outcomes.”

In Barcelona, the team will build on four core strengths:

  • Computer vision and machine learning (CV/ML)
  • Backend and frontend software engineering
  • Mechatronics
  • DevOps

Over time, ANYbotics expects the office to grow beyond engineering, adding functions such as supply chain and commercial roles.

ANYbotics’ Barcelona team is based at DFactory, a dedicated Industry 4.0 campus that brings together advanced manufacturing, automation, and robotics. The location also provides proximity to partners, infrastructure, and a community that supports hiring and collaboration.

“The addition of ANYbotics to the DFactory Barcelona ecosystem reinforces our commitment to a safer, smarter and more efficient industry. Its autonomous mobile robotics technology, applied to industrial inspection in complex environments, represents a clear advancement in operational safety and data management.”
